Sharon Ann Moffatt


Represented Camperdown High School in track and field athletics between 1975-1979 and also Jamaica’s national team up until 2000.


1974:         Enrolled at Camperdown, started out as a promising hurdler

 1975:         Featured strongly in Camperdown’s 4th place finish at   the Annual Girls Track and Field         Championships  (CHAMPS); ranked by analysts as then the best girls Championships ever.

1975:         Class 3 4x100 anchor in winning silver medal at   Champs

 1977:         Class 2 Gold medal in the 100-metres hurdles  Gold

1979:         Class 1  New record 14.6 seconds established in the  heats

1979:         Class 1 100-metres hurdles, Silver, lost to team mate   Audrey Llewellyn-Hunter

1980:         Tack scholarship to Alabama A&M University

Besides her stellar performances at the Annual High School Girls Athletics Championships, in the late 1970s and 80s Audrey represented Jamaica at the Carifta games, CAC games and several international invitational meets in Mexico and Tanzania.


1975:        Enrolled at Camperdown High School on leaving  Swallowfield All Age.

 1975:       Class 3: Gold high jump

1976-77:   Class 2, Silver medal in high jump

1978:        Class 1, Gold in high jump

1978:        Class 1 Silver in long jump

1978:        Bronze in 100-metre hurdles

1978:        Bronze in high jump, CAC Games, Jalapa Mexico.

1979:        Class 1; Gold in 100-metres hurdles defeating the  favourite, record holder Sharon Moffatt and   teammate

1979:        Class 1; Gold medal and new record set in high jump,  learing 5 feet 6 ¾ inches

1979:        Class 1 Champion

1979:        Silver in High jump, Jalapa Mexico

1979:        Gold in long jump at the Carifta Games in Jamaica

 1980:       Awarded track scholarship to Alabama A&M University
